Proud of this one - won well, and lost to a 75 year old Bulgarian, pretty badly.
This was bullet chess, but he played it as though it was an hour long game - no lapse in form or technique as far as I could tell.
Sometimes in speed chess, people use tricks to win - for example, buying time by keeping moves going. Some formats give back a second per move. Others like bringing out their queen early.
So when someone plays normally, as though the game is an hour long game, it puts enormous pressure on weaker players to match their opponent's accuracy and finesse, in a format where their time is measured in seconds and blunders.
I fall under the weak category. His rank was pretty high.
I got 5 points overall - 2 wins, and 1 draw I think....I panicked and did a stalemate.
