Miscellaneous

In the heat of 2024, there were 2 major parties vying for my attention.

One party hates JJK, and another loves it.

YouTube

I endorse this video by Squampopulous on 'How to keep Unfair Fights Interesting':

Some of his videos match what I realize, but I would still recommend his videos.

Here's why:

  1. He analyzes a lot, and explains well. So I end up learning from him.
  2. He is funny
  3. It's directly relevant to my craft.
  4. I like that his videos are sensitive to those who haven't seen JJK, or other movies, and are warned about spoilers.

I like it when content producers keep in mind the preferences of their viewers, even though it's harder.

When critics do a good job, I believe everyone benefits.

Please go ahead, like and subscribe to their channel! And watch the video!

But it's most likely only beneficial for:

  1. Curious people (2 minutes is enough to judge)
    1. There are different sections on Marvel, and Kung Fu Panda, among others.
  2. Novelists
    1. he's right about his perspective on showing vs. telling
  3. Story writers

This video by 'Savage Books' is something I learned a lot from, too, 100%.

References season 2, so spoiler alert here. 😄

It's called 'Satoru Goju shouldn't work'.

He explains very perfectly, in a calm way, how a viewer will perceive a complex character like Satoru Goju and why.

In a line, this video hits the nail on the head as to why people react differently, in subtle ways, to all of these deviants:

Thanks for reading, and Happy Friday!
